Your School’s Resolutions

New Year’s resolutions don’t have to be strictly personal – they can carry over to your school’s goals for 2011 too! As we kick off a new year, here are three resolutions that every school should consider keeping this year:

1. Save money.

Don’t let your hard-earned (and sometimes expensive) leads disappear after the admissions department has stopped contacting them. Use email marketing to stay in touch and recycle leads that you’ve already paid for. Reactivated leads are some of the highest converting!

2. Cut the fat.

While recycling old leads is great, you may also need to purchase new leads this year. Don’t waste your school’s time, and money, on leads that aren’t converting. Analyze admissions data and track conversion rates to help you purchase higher quality leads and enroll more students.

3. Try something new.

Now is the perfect time to step out of the box and try some new ideas with your marketing! Create a Facebook page, Twitter account, YouTube channel, or blog. Social media marketing is a great way to engage with current students, graduates, and prospects.

Whether you stick to your resolutions or not, the team at Effective Student Marketing wishes everyone a prosperous new year!
