Facebook Comments Are FOUR Times More Valuable Than “Likes”
According to EdgeRank Checker, Facebook has recently unveiled new metrics that reveal noteworthy insights on engagement.
Here’s EdgeRank’s breakdown on how comments are four times more valuable than “likes:”
• Average clicks per like: 3.103
• Average clicks per comment: 14.678
• Average clicks per impression: 0.005
So what does all of this mean? For every “like” a post receives, it gets on average 3.1 clicks. For every comment a post receives, it results on average 14.678 clicks. Ultimately this means that the more engagement your wall post receives, the more clicks it gets. What’s interesting about this data is that a comment results in roughly four times the amount of clicks, according to EdgeRank.

Takeaway
Your school should always be posting engaging content. Identify your target audience and put yourself in their shoes – would they find the content you’re posting interesting enough to comment on it? Before hitting “post” always make sure the answer is yes!
