Facebook Begins News Feed Ads Rollout

Yesterday Facebook started a slow rollout of ads to the news feed, but these are not considered Sponsored Stories, which was anticipated.

Instead of them being referred to as Sponsored Stories, they are labeled “Featured” to distinguish them from earned media messaging that users see.

One thing to keep in mind is that marketers can only pay for stories to be featured in your news feed if you have clearly “liked” their page.
